How to eat Banh trang me (Banh da tom) sesame cracker?!

Question: How to eat Banh trang me (Banh da tom) sesame cracker!?
I love trying different ethnic foods so went I went shopping at the oriental store today I picked up a packet of these clear sesame crackers, that says Banh trang me (Banh Da Tom) on the top of the packet!. It's a product that is made in vietnam, and I'd like to know how it is eaten!. Do I fry it like some other tapioca crackers / fish crackers that are sold in the oriental market!? Or are these like the vietnamese rice spring roll wrappers that have to be moistened with water and stuffed!? How are these typically eaten!? Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
This is another kind of rice paper, not the rice paper for wrapping the spring roll or summer roll!. The complete banh trang me must be crispy!. So, you can put it in microwave, girll or bake, but not fry with oil, not boil and not dip it in water!. I am not sure how long you do that!. I suggest you should do some ones first and change the time more suitably, then!. Don't let them become black!.

Traditionally, they cook it with charcoal on an earthen pot like in this image: http://eatingasia!.typepad!.com/photos/unc!.!.!.

This kind of rice paper can be served with many dishes such as:

Anyway, after cooking banh trang me, you can served it with any kind of salad as Vietnamese people in Northern and Central area usually do!. Salad is a dish having almost tastes and adding banh trang me means salad have one more taste: crisp!. Vietnamese usually describe that eating banh trang me makes their mouths "happy" (vui miê?ng)!. I hope you will feel happy, too!.

Best regards!.

If they're the thick kind ( I'm guessing they are, since they have sesame seeds ) then I'm pretty sure you just pop them in the microwave!. ( I say "them," but just do one at a time ) I'm not sure how long they're supposed to take, and every microwave is different, so just wait until they're slightly browned!.!.!.!. I don't think they taste good burned!. There was also this other kind of banh trang that my mom didn't know how to eat; it was too thick to roll, too thin to microwave, it was really weird!. Anyway, sometimes, after they're microwaved, my parents coat them with water, and they get soggy, and they dip them in soy sauce (with pimento)!. I don't know if you'll like, it, but try it anyway, it won't be too bad!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Is it a thick and crunchy kind!? If it is, then typically you eat it with Vietnamese Salad!. Usually, you put the salad on top and eat it so it's a mixture and soft and crunchy at the same!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
