At a restaurant or takeaway place, is a typical indian curry fatty?!

Question: At a restaurant or takeaway place, is a typical indian curry fatty!?
I'm trying to eat a bit healthier but one of my favourite meals is Indian curry with Basmati rice and Nan bread!. Is this kinda food typically high in fat!? How does it compare to pizza or food from McDonalds and other takeaways!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
comparing McD, pizza with Indian curry is like comparing apples and oranges!.

1st of all, curry is cooked with/out chicken, or meat is a whole lot healthier!. If it was cooked with chicken/meat, it probably have some fat contents in it, but not as much as McD or pizza!. At least they have vegetables and spices!.

Basmatic rice isn't as good for you as any typical carbo, if you want to watch your carbo in take, go for the brown rice!. As for the Nan bread, it's whole wheat, it's o!.k!. if you don't go overboard!. However, if it's white flour, you might need to find other alternative!.

All in all, go on moderation!. If you like curry, ask for white chicken or only vegetable curry!. Brown rice and whole wheat instead of regular nan!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

It depends on if they use cream or somethign like coconut milk!. Coconut milk isn't bad for you at all, in fact it's a 'good fat' so to speak!. It woudl be better than junk food or fast food just by virtue of the fact that it uses real ingredients!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Definitely not as fattening as McDonalds! If you plan on cooking then try using healthy cooking oil!. As for rice, when it's cooked, drain out the excess water!. That removes a lot of starch from the rice!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

well it actually depends on wat kind of food u eat like if its it with
a lit of oil or ghee its obvious that its fat but i would not think its more fat than mcdonalds i mean seriously!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
