Why some japanese prefer American sushi over Real Sushi?!


Question: Why some japanese prefer American sushi over Real Sushi!?
My fiancee is a Japanese!. I know that she does not like real sushi!. However, when she comes to America, she become addicted to American Sushi!. And she told me American Sushi is better than real sushi!.
Do you think is a normal Japanese!? Could anyone give me some advise!. I think she is strange!. Am I right!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

she just not a big fan of traditional sushi!.
she prefer fusion sushi over traditional!.
she never had good sushi in japan!.

american style sushi is not sushi at all from REAL sushi in japan!.
but it does have interesting,fun,japanese doesn't think of stuff!.

japanese,especially younger age tend to attracted to american stuff
over what they grew up with!.

I agree with Nikkie!. It's probably more exciting to eat American sushi after eating Japanese sushi for your entire life!. also there are a lot of novelty rolls in American sushi!. California rolls, Alaska rolls, etc!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

My japanese friends tell me that it's MUCH more expensive in japan, so maybe that's part of it!. They eat it up while they're here just because they can!. I don't know what the difference is in taste really though!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
