What's the difference between dripping and shortening?!
It's for a biscuit recipe, I've found dripping has less fat but I'm scared if I substitute the shortening for the dripping the biscuits won't turn out right!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Dripping has more flavor!.
When making biscuits the most important part is the texture and rise!.
You can make biscuits with no fats and they still work!.
I wouldn't worry, just adjust the amount of moisture until they are the right consistency!.!.
A little milk to moisten!. a little flour to thicken!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You mean pan drippings!? Like from roast beef or something!? I'll assume that's it, if so I'd recommend only using the actual solidified fat which would probably be worse for your diet!.
Normally when butter or shortening is used it's supposed to be worked in by hand and when baked the fat melts creating the air pockets inside!. adding liquid drippings isn't going to mix in properly!. also it would be adding liquid!.
But overall it's not an expensive mistake so try it out and see what happens!. Good Luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com

There might be a taste variation depending on what type of drippings you have been using, but the consistency should stay the same!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
