Is seeing a lot of Mexicans eating in a Mexican restaurant, a good sign that the food is good and authentic?!
Perhaps give me your views of other ethnicities as well if you like!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Answers:
What really makes mexican food in one restaurant more authentic then the next place!?
The definition of authentic is: not false or copied; genuine; real!.
So if all Mexican places (or most) have rice, beans, tacos, etc, how is that authentic!? Is it the recipe and the flavor of the food that makes it original!? Perhaps!. But having lots of Mexican people in the restaurant does not make it authentic!. It might mean the food is good sure, but not authentic!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Maybe, maybe not!.
In some cases, it's simply a matter of the food being inexpensive, the owner being particularly friendly to the "native" community, or any number of things!.
But even if this is true, it may not mean that the food is going to be pleasing to you!. A true Mexican diet is not what we, in the United States, think of as Mexican food!. The same can be said of a variety of other cultures!.
also, some places serve different food to "gringos" (or whatever the word is for the particular culture)!. They have different menus or may even serve the same food in a different way!. I've been to many restaurants where I've asked "what is that!?" only to be told "you won't like it!.!.!. it's for Mexicans (or Chinese or Afghanis or whatever)!."Www@FoodAQ@Com

It depends on where you live!.If you live in an area that has a big Mexican population and there are a lot of Mexican restaurants then having a lot of Mexican customers is probably an indication that the food is good!.On the other hand I have family that live in a very rural/white area!.They go to the few Mexican restaurants in that city because they don't have many options but don't necessarily love the food!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
So, how would you react if you see Asians cooking the Mexican food!? I ask that because I've been to restaurants that do that (Mexican cooks in the restaurant, also)!. The food is great but, what is your reaction!? Just wondering!.
I've also seen Mexicans cook Asian food!. There are also Mexican/Asian restaurants!. I've had "crossovers" (Asian food with a Mexican twist and vise-versa)!. They all make great food!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I would say that restaurants frequented by diners from the country that the restaurant specializes in is a good thing!. I have an excellent Chinese restaurant that I began eating at that happens to be frequented by many Chinese people!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
As long as the restaurant is packed, then that means it's a good restaurant! Any Mexican restaurant should have authentic Mexican food, or it wouldn't be called a Mexican restaurant!Www@FoodAQ@Com
Not necessarily, the town I live in has a lot of bad Mexican restaurants that Mexicans eat at!. There just aren't a lot of other options!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
