The food can vary by region, I lived in Alsace where the food is a little bit on the German Side, such as Choucroute (Sauerkraut like) served with sausages and Tarte Flambe which is a little like pizza but no tomato and they use Creme Fraiche!. Croissaints are all over as are lots of nice pastries!. The Baguette is everywhere and so are fabulous cheeses - but there are thousands and these are also regional!. French people do eat horse and snails but not all the time and you can avoid them - the same with Frogs legs (grenouille)!. The French love Steak but avoid steak tartare as its raw meat and an acquired taste!. Veal is popular, Foie Gras is goose liver often fried but also comes as a pate and is delicious!. There is a massive selection of foods, my advice is to just jump in there and try everything!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

sausages, they have a few kinds!. if you ever order a steak, get it well done! its medium in american!. they have geese, make sure you get that well done, escargots (snails) i didnt like!. they eat a ton of bread and cheese, make sure you eat everything, or they think you didnt like their food!. the best dish i had in france, was lamb chops! and you cant skip the dessert!
