Answers:
Being Indian I can tell you that the cuisine varies tremendously from region to region!. In the North and West you will find foods centered around Roti and Subzi (bread and vegetables)!. Vegetables and meats in gravy/curry sauce are the staple and unleavened bread (roti/chapati/paratha etc) are used as a tool to pick up the veggies/meat!.

In the East the cuisine is influenced by the sea and therefore centers around fish and other seafood!. I know that goat is also consumed!.

In the South rice and rice dishes are a staple!. Things like Dosa, Idli etc are made from ground rice!. Southern cuisine uses alot of coconut in their cooking!. The South grows alot of rice and bananas and the cuisine reflects this!.

Lentils are big part all over India!. And that is a common dish in India!. also known as Dal (North)/Sambar (South)!.

I hope this helps!. I dont know what other info you need but you may need to go beyond YA!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Can you give us a bit more structure of what you are looking for!? I'd strongly suggest you do your research other than on Answers though!. This may give you recipes, but you need to know more about regions and cultural and economic factors that influence the cuisine in that area and how it impacts on the nation overall; very little of this you will find here!.
