Answers:
Ok!.!.!.My husband is mexican!.!.

What kind of beans are you wanting to cook!? Frijoles Ranchero or regular Frijoles!?

For regular beans:

Take pinto beans get as much as you want to cook wash them good take out all the broken ones!. get a crock pot put water, salt and one garlic clove in it cook it on high for 4-5 hours keep adding water when it gets low!. taste it to see how much salt it needs!.

after they are done you can put some oil in a pan put the beans in the pan and heat them up the oil adds a little sauce if you cook it for a little bit

or you can smoosh them and make refried beans!. add oil, the bean juice (a little bit) and start smashing!. put the stove on med!.

I hope this helps this is how my MIL makes hers

Ohhh you dont have to soak the beans!. if you want them to cook faster soaking them helps!.

Serves/Makes: 10

Ingredients:
2 cups Dried pinto beans

1/4 teaspoon Ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon Oregano (preferably Mexican oregano)
Turn this recipe into a puzzle! [click]

Directions:

Soak beans in water overnight!. Pour off soaking water and add fresh water to cover!. Add salt pork, onion, garlic, chili powder, cumin and oregano!. Simmer on low heat at least 4 hours or until water is absorbed and mixture is thick!. Correct seasonings, if necessary!.

Cooking Dried Beans -- To Soak or Not to Soak: Dried beans will cook faster if they are soaked!. Cover beans with water, soak them overnight, drain, and then cook according to your recipe!. Do NOT EVER cook beans in the soaking water!.

A shortcut to overnight soaking is to cover the beans with water, bring them to a boil, turn off the heat, cover, and let them set for 1 hour!. Then, drain and cook as usual!.

People in areas with particularly hard water can cook their beans till the cows come home, and the beans are still tough or not thoroughly done!. If that has been a problem, add 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda to the cooking water, and you will have one less problem!.

I like to soak the pinto beans until swollen good, then you can add some lard or Crisco shortening to the beans to help add to the creaminess!.
Probably like a (1) rounded tablespoon or so to (1) pound of dry beans!.
Cook until nice and tender stirring occasionally so they don't stick to the bottom of the pan, and salt to taste!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

What you're probably talking about is refried beans!. I've never made them!. But, I saw it being done on a TV show once!. They basically boil the beans whole until soft!. Then they drain the beans and pour them into a big rectangular cooking pot that sits on a grill!. They then put in oil (or lard for traditional Mexican beans) and seasoning/spices, and cook the beans down to a kind of pasty consistency, stirring and turning the beans constantly!.

I think you're better off either getting a can of refried beans (Rosarita is good), or getting a large order at a Mexican restaurant or taco shop!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

not worth the trouble
just get soome canned chili beans like Sun Vista or something - they are so close to home made that it is not worth the effort of soaking and cooking and all thatWww@FoodAQ@Com
