Marmite price in the UK?!


Question: Marmite price in the UK!?
Can anyone tell me what the price is of the 250g jar in UK groceries!? It seems to have got Really Expensive in the Caribbean - the equivalent of about 10 pounds sterling!. I was just wondering how much the middle man is making!.

Sainsburys sell a 500g jar for £4!.89, or 200g for £2!.59!. Worth every penny I reckon, but you're being stiffed over there!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Love the stuff but have never bought it as it's too expensive!.However on wednesday went to Lidl and saw a bottle of "yeast extract" with no brand name!.I THINK it was around £1!.50 and if it was I'll buy it next time if they still have!.It LOOKED quite a big jar!.
