Answers:
Buy some Vanilla extract!. Bring a pot of water (4 Cups) to a boil, add 2 Tablespoon of Vanilla extract!. Let it keep boiling!. Turn on fans or whatever means you have for air circulation!.
Vanilla flavor will take over the smell of curry!. It might take you nearly two hours to fully ventilate the curry odor out of the house!.
Next time tell your friend not to fry cumin seeds!. Cumin seeds are the worst culprit for Curry Cooking Odors

I don't think vanilla will drive away the racist spirits!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The smell is not going to go away overnight - a bug bomb prob would not work!. I used to live in a duplex next to some people from India{ he was a chef}!.
I did not mind to much except the peppermint growing everywhere into my yard!.
They were real good neighbors but honestly sometimes company would ask what the he** was I cooking w/that smell in it{ I too am a chef}Www@FoodAQ@Com

The smell of curry is quite distinct, and hard to get rid of!. I love curry! My advice would be to clean really good, and she will notice and smell the clean instead of food!.

also, whatever you are deciding to cook will likely fill the house with that scent anyway!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Is this a joke!?
Anyway just spray a lot of room freshener before she comes over, and open the windows for a few minutes!.
I think curry dishes smell great and taste delish :)Www@FoodAQ@Com

Open the windows and get some fresh air!. Boil cinammon and water on your stove (use sticks or powder) but watch it!. You could also bake something like cookies or cake!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It would be easier to get rid of mother than to get rid of the smell!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Serve curry to your mom!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
