Are all subways selling just halal meat?!

Question: Are all subways selling just halal meat!?
Or can you still buy proper meat at some!? I have heard the franchisee gets to chose whether they sell halal, kosher or normal meat!. Does anyone know whether this is true!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Subways are all franchises so I guess its an individual franchise's decision to sell Halal meat!. Perhaps your franchise is Muslim owned or because there's a high Asian population in Preston perhaps they've made a business decision to use Halal meat!. I live in Blackpool and have never noticed any advertising of Halal meat however the steak and cheese sub I had at Deepdale shopping centre in Preston tasted no different to the one's at the Subways in Blackpool I use!.

However, I do have to add, some people disagree with the way Halal meat is prepared and therefore you may have an ethical reason for objecting to eating it, but other than that, if you don't do religeon it really shouldn't bother you whether the meat is or isn't Halal!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Kosher and Halal meat are proper meat!. Why don't you want to eat Halal meat!? Some people think that the halal and kosher way of killing animals causes them to suffer more, but others disagree and say that they suffer less!. I believe that any animals that are carted away to be slaughtered, suffer!. They are terrified when they are put on the truck and terrified as they are led to the slaughter!.

If they are killed quickly on the farm this is more humane and apparently the meat tastes better!. Accurate shooting probably causes less suffering if the animal is not chased first!.

Probably the most suffering comes from keeping animals in small cages!. They cannot carry out most natural functions!. It is worse than being in a small jail cell!. Most pigs and chickens are kept this way!.

I've seen animals carted off to be slaughtered and I've seen them slaughtered too!. They suffer whether or not it's Halal or Kosher or neither and because of this I am a vegetarian!.

If the suffering is not the reason for your objection, then what is it!? Kosher or halal meat tastes no different to any other meat!. It does usually cost more as the killing usually has to be supervised to make sure that it is done properly!. Because of this, Subway would only use kosher or halal meat if it was in an area with lots of Muslims or Jews and it would state that it was using this type of meat!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

I'm pleased you've posted this as I didn't know about it before!. I shall boycott all Subway branches from now on!. I don't agree with halal meat for two reasons: The first is that the animals are killed inhumanely; the second is that halal meat has no place in the UK and should be banned!. The government are terrified to ban it as they know the problems that it would cause!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I dont thk thats true!.also to make halal meat it takes more time to make it then the non-halals i think!.I also think a franchise company would like to get a lot of meat quickly, sometimes their meat might come from animals that were maybe abused in a way to get their meat!.But maybe if a muslim guy owns a subway store, like just the store, then u can ask that person if his meats are halal!.anyway im sry if i was no help to u!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

i used to work in a subway, never heard about halal meat!. By the way halal meat is not a sort of food but just another way to kill the animal, so its still the same meat in the end, halal or not!. so i really don't understand your reaction!. get more knowledge and be open minded!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Many businesses carter to the national that shops in their store!. It is not sold at all SubWays!. For more info you could easily call them for this type of info!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

you have to ask weather its halal or not but most of the time it is!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

ive never heard it they sell 'normal' meat as far as i knowWww@FoodAQ@Com
