How much do they get paid for delivering takeaways?!
how much do takeaway drivers usually get paid!? in the uk please!. my hubby is thinking of doing it as extra but i really dont want him to be out doing it for pittanceWww@FoodAQ@Com

My Husband gets ￡5 an hour!.
he does 4 hours a day (6pm till 10pm)
so he gets like ￡150 a week!. which is really not bad for extra income!.
he does like it but he said its quite tiring as he also does 9-5 job and after that then straight to his delivery job
he enjoys meeting new people, and talking to customers
extra ￡600 a month is brilliant!. means he can finally clear his overdraft, credit cards, loan etc!. and save up to get a decent car!. he drives a really small car
he also gets extra ￡20/￡30 a week on tips which he uses strictly on his petrol!. so that he doesnt have to take money out from his ￡150 wage
the pay is low if you do this a living wage!. this is good job as extra income!.
my husband had no choice as we we're financially struggling!. and this job is really helping us!.
we can buy things without worrying or walking away things that we really needed!. we were living in mainly very cheap food!. we were just about surving in paying our mortage in time!.
we both like really like to have baby, but i cannot afford to go part time as we'll struggle with the mortgage payment
we dont see each other much as i work 9-5 too!. but when he comes home at 10!.30 we have have an hour or 2 together!. sometimes you have to sacrifise things and undertand the reason why it has to be like this!.
i dont let him do any housework as he works enough!. wheras before we always shared the chores!.
our sunday is precious to us as this is his only day off!. and it bloody goes so quick
he really missess his evening where we just watch annoymous tv and cuddling up!.
christmas time will be boring as am going to miss being with his and watching tv, cooking etc!.
but we work really hard especially my husband!. to help build a better future
alot of restaurant pay is cash in hand, which is good as you dont get taxed!. but you will need to check with the restaurant manager how they pay the employees!.
i wouldnt say job is pittance, because, where would that ￡150 a week come from!? no one will just hand it to you!. you would have to work to earn it!.

The pay is very low!. Whether or not they take out taxes etc depends on where you are working!. If you want a job like that, ask, but it's not one that is worth doing if you have to use you own vehicle!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
