If you are eating pizza in a restaurant in Italy then you would use a knife & fork!. If you were buying a slice from a bar or a street window service pizzeria in Italy then you would eat it by hand (with a napkin underneath of course)!.

There really isn't any specific way to eat pizza!. It is a very personal event so whatever you feel like at the time!. If your having some kind of dinner or formal meal i would suggest using the knife and fork provided but using your hands is always acceptable Www@FoodAQ@Com

You can eat with your hands but to not get too messy just use one hand!. Then only one hand is messy!. But if its too hot to hold use a fork!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
