Answers:
They also have chopsticks with ridges near the bottom that are supposed to grip noodles better!. I don't know if it helps or not but it might work better for you!. The only time noodles slip from chopsticks are I think when the chopsticks are super glossy coated!. So more of a raw wood stick is better!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes, I am a Mandarin Chinese and I enjoy Udon noodles very much!. They are soft, thick, and chewy!. Udon noodle soup is eaten with chopsticks and the soup is devoured with a soup spoon!. Eating them with chopsticks especially at a guest meeting, visit, or party is a great etiquette!. I also find it fun to eat my noodles with a chopstick!. My chopsticks are delicately small and black with beautiful artistic designs on them!. I add some pepper and garlic oil to the Udon noodle soup too to enhance the flavor!. Then, usually, I drink a nice cup of green dragon well tea along with the Udon noodle soup!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

I am a former chef and I happen to have worked in Japan, and all3 are correct, Udon can be used in soup, or like western spaghetti with items on top, so to use chopsticks like rice you have to elevate the bowl, now udon are not as slurpy a noodle as Soba and Ramen style, and can be tricky to eat, but as the one fellow said practice makes perfect, I have been using chopsticks since the late 1970's, I went to chef school in Toronto Canada, and at that time the school was in market area surrounded by the larger of the 4 Chinatowns we have here, so I got quite adept with them!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
