Question: Does anyone know what this Mexican dish is called and how to make it!?
I was at my friend's mothers house and she made a type of shrimp salad!.

It had shrimp, tomatoes, cilantro, and mayo and was a little spicy so i'm assuming some sort of pepper!. It was served cold and we would put that and sour cream on tostadas!.

Does anyone know what this is called!? I asked my friend but she said her mom just calls it a shrimp salad!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Ensalada de Camerones

Dice 3 plum tomatoes, 1/2 cup chopped cilantro, 1/2 cup or 1 small white onion diced, 1 to 2 serrano chilis, diced with the seeds in them!. juice of 1/2 lime!. mix together well!. salt and pepper to taste!.

Saute or boil shrimp, or purchase them already cooked!. i cup small to medium shrimp, about half a pound, add them to the above mix and let sit in the refrigerator for about an hour for the shrimp to pick up some of the flavor!. Mix 1/4 to 1/2 cup plain yogurt, and the same amount of mayonnaise together, and fold into the above dish!.

You can skip the sour cream with this dish, or substitute it for the yogurt!. Yogurt is better, and low-calWww@FoodAQ@Com

Its called Ceviche , it made of , tomatoes , crab, shrimp, cilantro , onions, tomatoes , avocado and also squeezed lemon juice and chopped peppers (your choice , I prefer serano peppers)!. This appetizer is so good with beer and chips or even for a tasty salad with saltines!.
You chop all the ingredients up in peaces!.
Have a good day!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

just ask your friend for the recipe!.!.!.i also think it's ceviche!.!.!.that is as close as a name as it got although i've never put mayo in it!.!.!.i guess as long as you have the recipe for it it doesn't really matter what it's called!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

cocktail shrimp ceviche ,
you can add some diced avocado and jicama or cucumbers for crunch ,as for the chile part try serrano, jalapeno or tabasco sauce to taste ( heat-wise ) Www@FoodAQ@Com

That sounds like ceviche, although I'm not sure if it usually has mayo!. It can be made lots of different ways so do a search for ceviche recipies!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
