I don't think it would make a tasty BBQ, being fat only, and would probably light up like the fourth of July over an open flame!.
I do thank you however for the question, as it made me look at dugong on Google, and realize it is an "almost" endangered species, a salt water Manatee,as it were, hunted to near extinction for it's meat and for the oil extracted from it's blubber!. It is also being threatened by the farming practices in Australia, using fertilizers that include phosphates, and by the factories that release many heavy metals into the water supply, such as Chromium, Manganese, Mercury, and Nickle!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
