Shortbread cookies in Scotland.?!

Question: Shortbread cookies in Scotland!.!?
I work in a store, I saw that for the holidays the store is selling authentic Scottish shortbread cookies!. I'm assuming that is just a ploy to get us Yankees to buy some cookies!. Like us people who live in the states need an excuse to eat cookies!. I was just wondering could these cookies be the real deal!? Dose Scotland have their own type of cookies!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Shortbread is a traditional Scottish speciality, it is delicious, but is best when made with semolina!. Check the ingredients!.
Loads of places in the UK have recipes that are traditional such as Bath buns (the town not the other!), Chorley cakes, Eccles cakes, Cheddar cheese, Wenslydale cheese etcWww@FoodAQ@Com
