Is octopus good to eat? some people say it is.?!

Question: Is octopus good to eat!? some people say it is!.!?
Answers:
Octopus is absolutely fantastic!. When cooked right it is a tender, white meat, with a delicate flavor that entertains the most elaborate or simple sauce!.

It comes in all sizes and ages!. Baby octopus you can just throw on the grill, and once cooked and crispy add some chimichurri made with garlic, parsley, oregano, sea salt and olive oil, serving it with a green salad on the side!.

A larger octopus needs to be beaten before cooking it, to tenderize it by breaking the fiber of the meat!. It must go in cold water and bring to a boil, calculating 1/2 hour of cooking time for every 2 lbs!. of octopus!. Once cooked, the dark skin will peel off under running cold water, leaving just the white core!.

It is not chewy not gooey; it has a perfect texture, resembling beef with lobster flavor!.

Use it like this to prepare it with all the different recipes from around the world!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Octopus is one of those foods that is only good when cooked correctly and it is too easy to overcook; when it is overcooked it is chewy and tough!. I've had it in a ceviche and it was my first time so it was delicious and I've also had the Spanish method of preparing it is called Pulpo al Gallego, and it was also delicious!. But like all foods, it is a matter of taste and preference!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Its tasty yes, but also tends to be somewhat tough or chewy!. I prefer squid (calamari) especially the tentacles, nice and crisp!. They are seafood, and will taste sort of "fishy" depending on the chef!. But Like all food, its a acquired taste, and there is no accounting for individual preference!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I've eaten octopus raw as sushi, and cooked!. It's like any other protein it's taste all depends on who cooks it!. if someone doesn't cook a steak right, it's not going to taste great so when ordering this, consider the restaurant's quality and rating!.

from a good restaurant it's absolutely delicious, I love the tough texture!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

americans in general dislike chewy texture food!.
anything chewy, and in this case, "weird" to most americans, you will get a thumb down!.
octopus is good in my opinion, like squid (calamari - fancy term), etc!. all delicious!. it can be as easy as broil, slice to pieces and dip in soy+ginger sauce!.
you wouldn't know until you try it!. you can decide if it is good or not after you try it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I absolutely love Octopus! It can be tough but I've never had it so tough that it's too hard to eat, still it can have a good amount of chew to it!. (I like it chewy but I don't know how you feel about that) To me, it tastes like chewy shrimp!. It's really good!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

No dont get up in the hype even though healthy for you, shell fish is not tasty at all, it is very common in other parts and cheap!. It is the perfect example of liking something because it is rare and popular!. Octupus has almost no taste without sauce and is very chewy with a weird textureWww@FoodAQ@Com

There isn't much to the taste but the texture is truly an acquired taste!. It has this weird chewy-stiff texture that makes you wonder why you are eating it because it seems like too much work for something with very little taste!. But hey, give it a try sometime, you might like it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Calamari and octopus do not taste the same! I ate octopus at a fancy place in spain and it tastes like a bouncy ball!. I'll try anything, and I like a lot of abnormal foods, but not octopus! But you should try it for yourself hahaWww@FoodAQ@Com
