What Indian food would you recommend based on my Chinese food preferences?!
I will be traveling to India in the near future and would like to research Indian food and figured starting with my chinese food preference might be a good start!. Although they are significantly different there may be some similarities I can capitalize on!.
Please ignore the meat aspects of the chinese dishes as I am more interested in the flavors of the sauces and the vegetables: Sesame Chicken/General Tso Chicken/Orange Chicken, Mongolian beef (I have no plans on eating beef in India), Hunan Chicken, Egg rolls/Spring rolls, Chicken and Cashews, rice noodles
Hopefully that's enough for some ideas!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Ok, based on the sweeter dishes (sesame chicken, orange chicken) and the fact you like cashews, I would recommend Korma!. It's a curry dish that's sweeter but still spicy in flavor, and it is sometimes thickened with crushed nuts!.
Based on the Mongolian beef: for me this has a soy sauce type taste!. I don't think there's anything quite the same in Indian food!. One thing I bet you will enjoy is chicken corn soup!. You can flavor it with hot sauce and soy sauce, too!.
Egg rolls: Try samosas! They are triangular pockets filled with potato, sometimes meat, and deep fried!. Very tasty!.
Chinese/Indian fusion cuisine has also become very popular in India!. You should try that at some point!.
I don't know if you at all enjoy tofu, but if you do I would suggest trying a curry with paneer cheese in it!. The texture is similar to tofu, although the taste is much better!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
