Where in NJ do you live!? I live near NYC!. If you live up here and are willing to make the trip, you can travel to Chinatown and pick some up!. If you go into a grocery store, they'll most likely be canned!. You might be able to find some fresh at the produce markets!. There is a Japanese market in Edgewater, NJ called Mitsuwa!. I don't see why they wouldn't carry lychees (btw, there are a couple of variations of this nut's spelling)!. I don't go there for produce, though, so I don't know if they'd be fresh or canned!. There's an Asian market called 555 on route 1-9 (southbound) aka Tonnele Ave!.

I found a thread about Asian markets in central/northern Jersey if you wanna take a look at it:

I live in NJ!. I have gotten canned lichees in Asian supermarkets and smaller local Asian stores!. The larger ones might have fresh ones as well, but I have never checked for them!. also, very large supermarkets like Shoprite or Pathmark probably have them in the sections with other Asian foods!.
If all of these don't work for you, you could try asking a Chinese restaurant in your area to either sell you a can or order one for you!. Of course it would be a much larger can than you would find in a store!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You can find them in Wegmans, fresh, or you could also look in their oriental aisle, they have some - I believe most grocery stores would have them in that aisle!. You could also find them in a Filipino Store, or Thai!.
Good luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com

You can get them canned in most grocery stores now!.
I've only found fresh lychees in Chinatown, and at H Mart in Little Ferry!. They are currently out of season right now, they are at their best between late July and mid September!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
