Some ideas: the Chinese place we used to get take out from had these little almond cookies, they were so great! Ice cream is also good!. You can have it with cookies like that or with some fruit!. I went to a Chinese girl's house for dinner once, and she cooked authentic Chinese food!. It was really tasty, especially the dessert!. She greased a deep bowl and lined it with fruits: halved apricots, raisins, some other things, even peanuts too, and then filled the bowl with cooked sticky rice!. She steamed this till the fruits were tender, I think like half an hour!. Then she removed this from the bowl (the bowl was like a mold) and it looked so pretty, a mound of rice with fruits on top!. Top it with a simple sugar syrup!. It was SOOOO tasty!. Sorry I don't know the name of this! Maybe someone who is Chinese can give it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
in chinese cuisine, we don't tend to go into massives amount of energy in cooking desserts!. usually a meal ends with freshly cut pieces of fruit ie!., oranges, apple, melon
if you want to go for a genuine dessert, go to a Chinatown (or to a Chinese supermarket)where you'll find a Chinese bakery and they'll sell allsorts of little cakes and savoury bites ie, egg tarts, coconut buns, bbq buns, old mother cakes !.!. some have some funny names to them, so that'll be a ice-breaker for the night!Www@FoodAQ@Com
