What's the shelf life of glutinous rice flour?!
I bought some at the Asian food market, and only realized it didn't have an expiration date on it when I got home!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Glutinous rice flour can last for many years, if it is in an air tight container and kept in a dark, dry location or in a freezer (that's where I keep mine)!.
Unfortunately, there is no way of knowing how old the product is if there is no expiration date stamp!. This is the reason that I firmly suggest that people purchase from a local store that they know has a large turn over or from an online store, such as Japan Super!. I purchase from them because their products come directly from Japan and I know that I am getting only the latest products from their suppliers!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It depends on what you are making because the glutinous rice flour begins to sit and compact after awhile and when it starts sticking together, whatever you make won't have as good of a taste than it should have!. It should be fine though if you don't mind about the flavor (its really slight) I was making mochi with glutinous rice flour that had been sitting on my shelf for 2 years and it still tasted great!Www@FoodAQ@Com
As long as it is kept away from a damp place, an opened package can last indefinitely!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
