The answerer above me is full of it! halal meat is the Muslim eqivalent of kosher however we do not believe that animals have a soul!. The meat is slaughtered while calling the name of Allah and the neck is cut allowing the blood to flow from the animal!. In Islam it is forbidden to eat blood!. also in Islam it is forbidden to cause unnecessary pain or harm to animals!. Meat that is blessed in the name of Allah and slaughtered in this way is Halal!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
halal can be defined as the procedure by which muslims cut any live animals !.!.!.!.!.thhis is done by facing the direction of mecca(the most holy place of the muslims,like the vatican for christians) and then cutting the nect of the animal!.!.!.!.they beleive that this lets the soul of the animal reach allah and rest in peace and also tenderize the meat
