I used to hang out on Maxwell St!. (Chicago) in the late 1960's, early 70's !.!.!. it helped to be there! Great blues musicians like Big Walter Horton !.!.!. Maxwell St!. Jimmy Davis !.!.!. The Polish sausage was grilled on a flat steel plate, with WAY TOO MANY ONIONS !.!.!. maybe add a pickle or a sport pepper, some mustard!.
The scent was unmistakable, especially at 4 a!.m!. after shutting the clubs down! It would permeate a car for DAYS !.!.!.
