Is there such a dish as "duck soup" in traditional Polish cuisine ?!
I had a Polish friend who told me that her late Mom always made "duck soup" she called it "Chanyna" (I think, that's how you spell it!. I wondered if there is such a dish in old school Polish cuisine and have looked and googled such a dish in old school Polish traditional cooking and couldn't find such a dish in Polish tradition!.
So can someone PLEASE clarify if there really is such a Polish dish !?!?!?
She had describe the dish of cooking ALL the ducks parts/internal organs including the blood and made it into the soup called "chanyna",like I said I'm not sure of the spelling of the dish or not even sure if there is such a dish that exists in the Polish traditional cooking!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

this recipe has a whole duck, blood, guts, everything you described
Duck Soup (Czarnina)
This is an old Polish recipe that was used at Easter
time!. This recipe is traditionally served with home made
noodles!. If desired the fruit can be removed, leaving broth to
serve with noodle!. If you do not know where to purchase a
duck, contact a local farmer or butcher!. If you prepare
your own poultry be sure to add 1/2 cup vinegar to duck
blood to prevent coagulation!. Makes 12 servings !.Www@FoodAQ@Com
