May i ask what is the difference between wheat and rice?!

Question: May i ask what is the difference between wheat and rice!?
Answers:
It is like asking the difference between apples and oranges - they are two different plants!. Wheat is a grain that grows in hot, dry climates, rice is a grass that grows in wet, marshy, tropical climates!.

In terms of nutritional content, rice does not have gluten, which might be what you were getting at!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I will take a stab at this from memory for you !. Both of these plants are varieties of grass !. The seeds or fruit that they produce fit in the category of cereal grains !.
Wheat is a grass best suited for topography known as steppes ( planes and low mountains ) !. This grain is low in starch , but heavy in carbohydrate calories !. It contains high levels of gluten ( plant sugar ) , it also has a enzyme that mimics estrogen in the human body !.
Rice is a grass originating from wet marshy areas !. This grain is high in starch and lower in carbohydrates !. It has less calories than wheat because it contains no gluten !. You will here about glutenous rice , but its really rice that has been generated for its abundance of starch to make it sticky when cooked !. Japanese rice for example is what you get in most chinese restaurants is very sticky and is considered glutenous rice !.I hope this helps ,its the best I can serve from memory !.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes you can ask it, but it'll be a really stupid question, though!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
