What about Haggis, then?!
Answers:
A really nice haggis is lovely, so long as you don't think about the ingredients!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Haggis is a traditional Scottish dish!.
There are many recipes, most of which have in common the following ingredients: sheep's 'pluck' (heart, liver and lungs), minced with onion, oatmeal, suet, spices, and salt, mixed with stock, and traditionally boiled in the animal's stomach for approximately three hours!.
Haggis somewhat resembles stuffed intestines (pig intestines otherwise known as chitterlings or the kokoretsi of traditional Balkan cuisine), sausages and savoury puddings of which it is among the largest types!. As the 2001 English edition of the Larousse Gastronomique puts it, "Although its description is not immediately appealing, haggis has an excellent nutty texture and delicious savoury flavour!."[1]
Most modern commercial haggis is prepared in a casing rather than an actual stomach!. There are also meat-free recipes for vegetarians!.
Haggis is traditionally served with "neeps and tatties" (Scots: swede, yellow turnip or rutabaga and potatoes, boiled and mashed separately) and a "dram" (i!.e!. a glass of Scotch whisky), especially as the main course of a Burns supper!. However it is also often eaten with other accompaniments, or served with a Whisky-based sauce!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

We basically could not give a toss what ill informed non celts think about the tasty and nutritious haggis !. I've been reading the previous answers; pork lung indeed!. There's no accounting for stupidity!. It's an economical and tasty way of using up the whole of the sheep!. The stomach is used as a container to stop the edible mixture from falling apart in the simmering water, as there were no ovens in the olden days; in Scotland, we had a girdle and a three-legged pot!. Only the gentry used ovens, which is why until very recently, we always ate soup, stews etc!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Not many people know this but the Haggis is a lovely little animal that roams the scottish highlands!. it mainly eats Ferns and highland grasses!.
It is a small animal that has one disadvantage that on one side its legs are considerably shorter than the other so it can only walk one way around the hills and mountains!.

I love haggis, proper haggis is lovely - I don't even like Offal typically, but I cannot resist this dish!.
You will see me at the front of the queue on burns night, with my plate held high for them neeps and tatties, with a lovely big portion of it!.
Of course, it's hard to catch, due to it's having one leg bigger than the other so it can run around the hills faster!. However, it is worth it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
