East African Rice and Peas recipe..?!

Question: East African Rice and Peas recipe!.!.!?
Recently i ate a lovely East African rice dish but unfortunately i didn't catch the name of it!. The rice had a nice, sweet fragrance to it, was white in colour, and had peas and tiny specs of a black spice in it!.!. i know how vague that sounds but i was wondering if anyone might know what it might have been!? It was so yummy and id love to be able to cook it up!

Many thanks! =)

Answers:
I'm guessing that it was coconut milk added to the rice to make a" nice sweet fragrance"--I'm thinking the spice was either black peppercorn, cloves or black cardamon!. My husband is East African and when I make cocnut rice he says it reminds him of home!. (I learned this recipe from a jamaican actually) I buy a can of coconut milk and use part coconut milk part water when I cook the rice and add your dried peas in and spices!.

I think it was Wali wa Nazi (Coconut Rice) w/ peas added!.
or it was Zanzibar PilauWww@FoodAQ@Com
