Anyone know what mushroom is called a "sin ya deen", it is Italian word.?!
I picked mushrooms when I was younger and my favorite was called a sin ya deen!.!.!.I have no idea how to spell it and I think it is an Italian word since my Papa and my Dad are old school Italians!. I live in Rhode Island and used to find them near the pin forests on stumps or under leaves, they grow back in same place every year!. They look like a brain almost and grow huge!.!.I once had one that filled my bathtub at about 20lbs!. They are delicious and remind me of meat!. I made sausage , mushrooms and peppers with them-yum! you cannot buy them but they taste almost like oyster mushrooms!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I know it but can't spell it!. Senyardeen!? It could be chicken of the woods!. I used to go get brown oaks and yellow oaks in Rhode Island CT and Mass and remember the Senyardeen, tasty and also when marinated reminds me of snail salad!. The Italians brought them to Federal Hill and sold them to the restaurants!. I still come across them once in a while when mushrooming!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
