What is your favorite taco recipe?!

Question: What is your favorite taco recipe!?
Please don't include any recipes with packets of taco seasoning!.

Do you prefer pork, chicken, fish, beef, potatoes or squash blossoms!? Is it made with with tongue, or brains!? Do you add cotija or crema, or is it best with onions and cilantro!?

Thanks!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I'm so glad you don't want that prepackaged 'taco seasoning!.' It's so pathetic!.

I had delicious machaca tacos, which I made, for dinner just a while ago!.

Machaca:
Beef roast seasoned with garlic salt and roasted in the oven or crock pot with bay leaves until fall apart tender!.

Shred meat, discarding all fat and bone!. Place shredded meat into a large pot!. Add chopped jalapeno, green onion, fresh minced garlic, cumin and Mexican oregano to your taste!. Let it simmer until jalapeno is cooked thoroughly!. If you have any broth in the dish or crock pot that you cooked the meat in, add it to the simmering meat so it doesn't dry out!.
This makes a hearty filler for tacos!.

Make your taco shell to your desired texture!. I prefer mine to be soft, so I only fry the corn tortillla until I reach the desired texture!.

Stuff taco with meat, cheese, finely sliced lettuce, onion, and/or tomato and homemade hot sauce!. My son loves cilantro with his!.

Pork is also a good stuffer!.
Cube lean pork!. Put in a casserole dish!. Chop garlic and jalapeno and add to meat!. Put in some oil, vinegar and salt!. Let it set in the frig for a few hours!. A couple of hours before dinner, put the dish into a 350 degree oven and cook until the meat is fork tender!. Remove from oven and, using a fork, break the meat up as you mix the chili in with it!. It is quite tasty in a taco!.

Shrimp tacos are also a treat!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
