Does anyone know what borie is?!
I have a spice in a very fine powder called borie!. It's yellow!.!.!.I have a feeling it's either turmeric or some type of curry, but I'm not positive!. Anyone know!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

How did you find out it was called borie!? Like was it on a label, or did someone tell you, or what!?

Okay so this is kind of a gigantic stretch, but I found this page with 3 South African recipes http://www!.inmamaskitchen!.com/FOOD_IS_AR!.!.!.
And the first one sounds kind of like borie and involves curry!. Perhaps the spice mix was used to prepare that dish!? Given the number of dialects in Africa, I wouldn't be surprised if what's known as babotie in one area is known as borie in another!. So there's one crazy guess explanation for it haha :)Www@FoodAQ@Com
