What cool side dish goes well with chili?!

Question: What cool side dish goes well with chili?
Cornbread is a given. Do you have a cool veggie side to recommend aside from salad?

Answers:

a cold corn salad with green and red bell pepper in a vinaigrette..i also like long sliced cucumber and gotta have a dollop of cold sour cream..and wont eat chili without corn bread or biscuits!

Corn fritters!

I would make fried squash rounds. You just slice a zucchini and a yellow (summer) squash into thin rounds, then dip them in flour mixed with salt and pepper and then fry until crisp on the outside. I don't cut mine more than a 1/4 inch think. nice and thin. That way they cook all the way through by the time the flour is cooked.

or I like to make fried squash fries with horseradish dipping sauce. You cut the squash into strips, dip them in egg, then in bread crumbs then fry (or bake) until crispy. Then I just mix in the amount of horseradish I like with sour cream and serve it like a dipping sauce.

Spinach Artichoke Dip with some fresh bread to dip goes pretty well with a spicy chili.
Thinly sliced cucumbers in yogurt/ranch dressing.
Grape tomatoes.

It's what I serve with it. :)

you can cut up some celery but honestly chili is one of those dishes that should be served with rice and some terrific bread!

Chili and Cornbread don't need anything else. But if you want something then deviled eggs or pea salad

Cornbread dressing

Chili is kind of a meal in itself and shouldn't need too many sides.

Baked potato.

Guacamole!

potato croquette

Shrimp and Oyster

Would do for me
