Japanese candy in America?!
It's called "Kakigori Candy", and its flavored after shaved ice treats. Its made by the Hayakawa brand. Anyone know where I could find this delicious treat?
(This is what the bag looks like.....!)

I remember "Kakigori Candy" in Japan, but I don`t believe that I have seen it outside of Japan. The best place to look would be a Large Supermarket in either the Asian section or International section where you can buy specialty Japanese items, or an Asian Supermarket as they usually stock a large range of authentic Japanese ingredients and items that can be hard to find elsewheree.

Well, I managed to find one seller online (http://cgi.ebay.com/Japan-Hi-Chew-Jr-Blu… but there's only one flavor listed, and it's a different brand.
However, you are in San Fran, and if there's any place in the country where you might be able to find it, it's there. I'd recommend checking a couple convenience-style stores in Japantown, or maybe a general Asian market. Might take some searching, but it's got to be there somewhere.
