Again the same question, sorry in advance: To all you yahoo users, what is your favorite ethnic food?!

Question: Again the same question, sorry in advance: To all you yahoo users, what is your favorite ethnic food?
This question has been asked and answered so many time before, that is why I apologize for the redundancy. For "you" what is your favorite ethnic food (from what country)? Is it your favorite food? Why?
Bonus question: What country has the most diverse food in the world? What makes it so diverse?

Answers:

My favorite foods come from southern Italy.

Also, Italy has major diversity in it's foods due to the significant climate changes from north to south, and the influence of France and Austria in the north.

The Flavors of Italy

Southern Italian cuisine:

Although historically poorer than other areas, southern Italy uses the bounty of the sea and the long growing season to add richness to humble ingredients. Dried pasta and olive oil are the stars here, along with light, crusty breads and cheeses like mozzarella and provolone. Tomatoes, eggplant and greens enrich sauces and stews, while meats like lamb and pork are used more sparingly.

Sample dishes: Pizza, Spaghetti alla Puttanesca, Frutti di Mare

Central Italian cuisine:

This area is best known for its rustic cuisine ... hearty bean soups, grilled meats and simple food not covered in sauces. Black truffles and mushrooms share the table with game and cured meats like salami and proscuitto. Thin shavings of Pecorino cheese made from sheep’s milk are served with meats, fruits and bread. Italy’s classic Chianti is the wine of choice.

Sample dishes: Pasta e Fagioli, Chicken Cacciatore, Beef Steak Florentine

Northern Italian cuisine:

Dishes filled with rice, polenta and risotto, paired with beef, veal and pork reveal this region’s connection to its French and Austrian neighbors. Dairy products are plentiful, and butter takes the place of olive oil in most recipes. Tomatoes are replaced with wine or broth for braising and stewing. Parmigiana Reggiano cheese, pesto and balsamic vinegar are regional favorites.

Sample dishes: Ossobuco, Risotto alla Milanese, Veal Scaloppini

I like itallian food pizza in specific. Idk why it's just so cheesy and doughy and the texture is so nice. I like mushrooms and banana peppers on mine.
Brazil deffidentally has the most diverse food. People immigrated to Brazil from Japan, Indonesia, Lebenon, Italy, Germany, Portugal, Spain and so many places that you can find many ethical resteraunts. Indonesia and Malaysia due to very diverse ethical group of people involves, native tribal (Malays, Javanese in example), Chinese, Dutch, Indian and middle eastern food.

My favorite ethnic food is from Jamaica.
My favorite food of Jamaican culture is curry goat, jerk chicken, cow foot, ox tail, rice and peas, ackee and saltfish, beef patty, bun and cheese, rum cake.
This is my favorite food because I love the flavors and the contrasts of the textures. Plus my husband is Jamaican and although I am Greek & Polish and grew up on Greek food.. I thought Jamaican food was different from what I was used to.

I think Jamaica also has pretty diverse food.. Jamaica is a mix country.. full of Indians, Asians, Europeans, Spanish, and Africans.. so just imagine they all brought their food styles and formed this wonderful fusion of food.

My favourite ethnic food is Japanese food.
The Japanese Cooking technique is to preserve and enhance the natural flavour of ingredients. Their respect for using ingredients in season means produce is fresh and full of flavour.

My favourite dishes are sushi and tempura.

sorry i dont like

Idk if greek counts, but I'm going with that. Its not my ethnicity, so I think it does count.

I grew up on Chinese food, so I'd say it's the best. There are so many provinces in China and each province has its own specialties and styles of cooking. In the north, people like to eat wheat-based foods and noodles while in the south, where the climate is warmer, rice production is better. Places like Hunan, Sichuan and Chonqqing and famous for their spicy food while others like Jiangsu are famous for sweeter and milder food. I like jiaozi, a type of Chinese dumplings traditionally eaten on the Lunar New Year and a bunch of other stuff too many to name. Also, I like Singaporean fare like Hainanese chicken rice, roti prata, nasi briyani and ice kacang. I also like Japanese food like california maki, ramen, tempura and bento boxes, while pizzas and Mexican sound great too (though I have never eaten them):) I like all-American and European food haha but my mother never cooks it.

For your bonus question, I think Singapore is the most ethnically diverse country, it has four major races i.e. Chinese, Malay, Indian and Eurasian, and in the past centuries many Arabs, Indian Muslims, Europeans and Chinese have taken up residence in this island country. When all these cultures come together there are many interesting fusions. I grew up in Singapore, and besides being called a garden country it's also called a food paradise. There are so many varieties of different traditional food in just one food court like Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Indian, Malay, British and American that you can't ever decide on what to have for dinner. Maybe you should try visiting Singapore! It's like being to many places all at once.
