what are some traditional japanese or chinese desserts?!
Answers:
daifuku!!! daifuku is the best. its as good as chocolate to me.
its a doughy rice-cake. its just made out of rice-flour, water and sugar, but there's a sweet bean filling.
it takes some getting used to (the texture) but if you like trying different foods you will warm up to it
sometimes they put little strawberries/ strawberry filling in the middle and those are even better.
also "wagashi"
they shape them into all different kinds of things like peaches, flowers, goldfish. sometimes they make them tediously out of jelly. they look like delicate peices of art.
google image search;) you will see what i mean
green tea cakes
wa-gashi (in Japanese, the are sweets)
yo-gash i(these are in Japanese sweets in the west)
