Question: I got this stuff called "Torshi Anbeh"——pickled mango. How to prepare?
I've had this pickled mango dip/relish at indian/mideast restaurants and it's very good but the stuff in the jar is SO extremely, ridiculously pungently strong I don't know how it's meant to be used. Mix with yohgurt? Mix with. . . veggies? I don't know. Can you help me? The internet has turned up nothing.

The mango pickles/relish served at restaurants would bear in mind the varied tastes of diners & therefore would be a milder version. No doubt you have got yourself a very spicy mango pickle, pungency would depend on the quantity & type of chilles used.Less fiery versions are on sale & the label often states the grade.
Indian pickles are served straight out of the jar, without a need to modify. However since your pickle is way out in pungency,it should be used sparingly, yogurt eaten along with it should reduce the punch.Wind off your meal with with a glass of lassi or flavoured milk, heartburn is a risk you face with too spicy food;a milk drink is a good protective.

Indian,used to dealing with spices.
