depends on the recipe im making at any given moment..
sometimes its just plain white rice w/salt
arabic rice will have spices like cumin, tumeric, cinnamon, cloves, cardomom, black pepper, allspice, garlic, onion, etc..

indian rice has curry spices or biryanni spices in it..

mexican rice has mexican chili powder in it (cayenne, cumin, oregano, black pepper garlic etc)

fried rice has onion, garlic, soy sauce, fish sauce in it..

just depends on my mood...

I put olive oil in a pan and get it hot. To the olive oil, I add one clove minced garlic, 1/2 chopped onion, salt, pepper, 1/2 pound of cubed ham (or bacon), 1 packet of Sazon, 1 tbs Adobo seasoning, 1 tbs Sofrito. I cook it until its aromatic. To the mixture, I add 4 cups of water and two cups of rice. I mix to combine. I bring it to a boil, let it boil for 3 minutes, turn the mixture down on low & cover. Let it cook on low for 30 minutes, DO NOT OPEN thE POT UNTIL THE 30 MINUTES HAS PASSED!

the basics are salt, pepper ,butter,if you like it sweet sugar and butter are good depending on if you wanted sweet or savory

You can fry an egg over easy over the rice and put a little soy sauce on top of that.

I love it either plain or hot with butter.

I used to work at a Japanese restaurant and for lunch I'd always eat rice with soy sauce, eel sauce, wasabi mayo and green onions on top. When I'm at home I sometimes put chili sauce in it.

curry, or lemon tyme, thai basil w/ salt and pepper

Just plain shoyu.
