it tastes a little bit like kiwi fruit, but not as sweet
Dragon fruits tasted pretty bland.
My first reaction after I ate my very first chunk of dragon fruit = Grr... Out of that many dragon fruits, I picked an unrip one. As a result, I went back and got myself two more the very next day. This time, I got a soft one and a very soft one. I thought those should taste much better even though they don't look as nice. Well, the texture was softer but they still tasted pretty bland. Time passed and I ran into some pink flesh ones. They too, tasted pretty bland. LOL
Conclusion: Dragon fruits looked nice. Peeling the skin off them was pretty fun. The texture was somewhat interesting. The taste, however, was far less interesting than the looks. They were... err... very unique. A better description on the taste and texture - Just imagine that you're chewing on a piece of kiwi while your tongue was covered with wax. LOL
By the way, I learned that you could cook dragon fruit much later. Chinese stir-fry them with beef and oyster sauce. Surprisingly, it actually tasted pretty nice.
PS: Try not to eat more than one dragon fruit a day unless you're really constipated. Dragon fruits will... err... let's just say that they will relief constipation rather effectively. LOL
It tastes like a combination of papaya and lime with the texture of kiwi fruit.
Actually dragon fruits have either red or white colored flesh, i prefers the one with red flesh as it have more lime-ish taste compared to the white flesh
Dragon fruit has the texture of a kiwi but tastes more like a pear.

Bland, the most disappointing fruit I have ever eaten considering how exotic it looks.
