Liver and kidney functions of dogs and most of all cats are less potent than those of humans. They can't process toxins (which is what spicy foods are; plant toxins to keep birds from eating them) as well as we do. So don't always expect that what we humans can digest is also fit for our pets.

Dogs can be allergic to the same things humans are allergic to. The term "spicy food" is not very specific. If a dog is allergic to an ingredient in the spicy food, he may have stomach issues or skin issues.

Dogs do not process food like we do. You could endanger your dogs health by feeding them spicy foods. Onions and Garlic are poisonous.

get ready to clean up after him /her it causes diarrhea
