What to have with miso soup?!

Question: What to have with miso soup?
We have a large family (9 people) so I was going to make some miso soup but I don't think that what I have will be a big enough pot for us all. I have 6 chicken breasts that I took out of the freezer and basic pantry staples. wondering what to do with the chicken (besides just plain grilled) to go with the miso soup. Thanks in advance!!

Miso soup is a traditional accompaniment to most Japanese meals along with rice and is great as it goes with most Asian style food. In Japan we eat Miso soup with every meal including breakfast.

With chicken breasts, the best would be Teriyaki chicken or a chicken & egg with rice (Oyako-don).

miso is japanese
i would say the best thing you can do with plain chicken would be teriyaki.

get some teriyaki glaze or sauce... if you use the sauce, marinade the chicken and grill it, brushing with the extra regularly
if you get a glaze, grill as normal, but about 5 min before you pull it off the grill, brush it liberally with the glaze

If you have potatoes, cut them up and put them w. the chicken in the oven w a bit of oil and oregano.
Lots of potatoes! Or put the chicken in a pot w. lots of rice, some tomato sauce. If you have any frozen peas, drop them into the miso soup and just cook them in it for a few minutes.
