Question: Rice for onigiri?!?!?!??!?!?!?
*burp*
Okay, well i have meduim grain rice?!?!?! Is that the type that is for onigiri? Thanks xxx

Answers:

medium rice is OK and much better than a long grain rice, but the best rice to use is Japanese style short-grain rice.

Japanese style short-grain rice has a consistency that differs from long-grain rice. The essential quality is its stickiness or glutinousness.

Short grained rice is usually used to make sushi and onigiri. However, any rice will work as long as it's sticky enough to stick to the nori (seaweed).

You can try it but Botan Rice is the best.

You need short grain sticky rice for ongiri and sushi.
