Question: Can you buy natto at the grocery store?
Or do they sell it at Asian markets?

I haven`t been able to find it at regular grocery stores. Your best bet is an Asian Supermarket as they stock a lot of authentic Japanese food and ingredients.

I think this Japanese grocery sells natto. They are in the United States, so I'd give them a call and see if they ship:

Otherwise I'd look for local Japanese/Asian markets and call them to find out if they carry it.



I've only seen it at Asian markets, and even some of them didn't carry it so go to a Japanese market if possible.

(or if you're referring to Chinese natto, most Chinese markets will have this.)



You can find them in Japanese grocery store, but some Chinese grocers will carry them, too.
