How do you make salsa using dried chiles?!

Question: How do you make salsa using dried chiles?
I want to try making a salsa using dried Mexican chiles. I know to cover them with boiling water to soften them up . What else should I add before blending it up?

Answers:

Depending on how much chiles you are using...add fresh crushed garlic garlic to blender with salt and dash of comino. Put softened chiles in blender with some of the water that they were boiled in and blend away. When it is well blended you must strain the salsa through a colander so you won't get any skins in your salsa. Good Luck!

I make it all the time.

And if by chance you're using chile anchos and want to add it to some meat, after you've blended them after reconstituting the chiles (I agree with the person above about the garlic and cumin) boil some pork and mix it in and it'll be like the pork that goes into mexican tamales...DELISH!!!
