Vietnamese salmon recipe?!

Question: Vietnamese salmon recipe?
I once had some fish at a friend's house. They're vietnamese. I'm pretty sure it was salmon, and it had a very red sauce. It was incredibly savory and slightly sweet. They just served it with rice, but it was so good. I was wondering if anyone knew what it could be.

Try this, it's delicious. :)

Serves 4
4 salmon fillets
1 tablespoon olive oil
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
4 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons fish sauce
1/4 cup soft brown sugar
1 teaspoon ginger
Juice of 1 lime
Steamed rice, to serve
Handful of fresh cilantro, chopped, to serve
3 or 4 scallions/green onion, chopped, to serve
1 red chili, deseeded and finely chopped, to serve
Lime wedges, to serve

1.Preheat oven to 425°F. Line baking sheet with parchment paper or foil. Place salmon, skin side down, on sheet. Brush or lightly drizzle the salmon with the olive oil, then sprinkle with salt and pepper. Roast for about 10 minutes, until salmon is just opaque in the center.

2.Meanwhile, heat a frying pan over a medium heat. Add soy sauce, fish sauce, brown sugar, ginger, red chili, and lime juice and stir together until sugar has dissolved and sauce is syrupy.

3.Serve the salmon on steamed rice with the sauce generously drizzled over, then sprinkle over some chopped cilantro and scallions with lime wedges on the side.

Chúc ngon mi?ng! Bon Apetit! :)
