Is there an equivalent to Rice?!

Question: Is there an equivalent to Rice?
I found out in late 2010 that I was allergic to white and brown rice. I've ate white rice all my life and never had a problem. So I was just wondering if there is an equivalent to Rice, that won't effect me.

I don't know exactly what in the rice effects me, but please, if you can, give me suggestions.

Thanks all :)

Answers:

Sure, there are tons of options.
Quinoa
Couscous
Barley
Buckwheat
Cracked wheat

Not sure why you think you're allergic to rice if it's never bothered you before**, but rice is just one of many food starches that you could use:

...for individual bits: any kind of grain (or the flours made from those grains) like wheat (including regular "noodles"), oats, corn, quinoa, barley, buckwheat, rye, etc
...for solid starches: things like sweet potatoes/yams, white potatoes, etc.

Quinoa and couscous. Couscous is more of a pasta, but it is still delicious and has a similar grainy texture.
