What appetizers would you serve with a romantic tempura dinner?!
I have made tempura in the past and for valentines day the wife has requested tempura. She does not like sushi so what other appetizers would you serve to compliment the tempura.

I would lean toward making a nice soup over an appetizer, either miso type or noodle base one, like a broth with nice veg and either udon or buckwheat noodles. Tempura is a bit filling to start with another heavy or filling dish. Seaweed salad is another option. Made with either Wakame, Hikiji or Kombu.
