In Hollywood maybe or cooking for the president but no where else.
Talk to the guidance counselor at any culinary arts school to find out average salary.
While looking at the salary you might also want to look at the hours.
if you like standing on your feet 8-10 or more hours a day, working at a fast pace, hovering over a blazing stove with all burners cranked, maybe this is the job for you....maybe not.
I am not a trained chef, I learned on the job and only work 2 days a week as I am semi retired.
my 2 days this week garnered me 22 hours.

No they don't. It depends where you work and what you start out as. 10-15 for a line cook. Around 35,000-65,000 depending for a ex chef

Not even close. Sorry. A starting job in the industry even with a degree can be about 10-15$ an hour if your lucky.
