What are typical foods eaten in Australia?!

Question: What are typical foods eaten in Australia?
I'm thinking about visiting Australia on holiday, and I was just wondering what is eaten in Australia on an average day. I've heard their foods is like American dishes.

Regardless, looks like a beautiful place. x

Answers:

They love their fresh seafood, often grilled/barbequed. Delicious!

A heck of a lot better than the U.S.A. , still the same junk food ,as you have over there ,you know McDonald's , pizza hut ,kentucky fried etc. only thing is we tend to go for more refined foods ,every country in the world has there china town ,italian food ,indian , etc.etc. we go big time for fresh seafood ,prawns crabs lobsters etc. then occasionally we eat a baby koala , marinated in creamy garlic sauce , or kangaroo , croc`s go down big time ,you will get the picture when you arrive here ,all jokes aside its a COOL place , I have been around the world several times ,but I still keep coming back here

Kangaroo, ostrich, salt water crocodile, Vegemite.

ok
