I remember reading someplace this can be corrected by adding one ingredient. But I forgot what it was.

There are a couple of ways you can counteract the saltiness:

Peeled potato (as suggested by some posters)

Add a couple more cans of tomato sauce/paste or a can of beans.

Add a tablespoon of sugar at a time until it tastes better

Add a tablespoon or two of milk or cream

Just simply add water. It solves your whims, and if it tastes bland again, then add a little condiment but don't overdo it so that you will get the perfect mix.

Enjoy your chili!

Potatoes, you can put them in large pieces and remove them later but it's the best ingredient that absorb salt :)

maybe you can add some water ,or add much more chili

I let salt be for the person eatin it to add..
Add a little water to it & hotsauce & you should be fine..
Enjoy your chilli!!!

The classic thing to toss in is a potato. Will absorb the salt, then discard it.

Just make your pot of chili a little bigger and don't add anymore salt.

nothing at all

just add it water.
