It flew in on a 747. I am not sure whether it flew first class or coach.
Via Liverpool. Chinese seamen settled in Liverpool in the 19th centuary making it at the time the largest Chinese community in the British isles. There still is a large Chinese community in Liverpool,the China Town area is the best place to visit for a good blow out,several restaurants to pick from.

I'd say the English traded opium for food in the early 1800's...
Kidding aside the British have a presence in China that goes back 100's of years. This means that they've known about and many have been fond of Chinese foods for centuries.
